The diamond polishing pad is widely used for flooring polishing.  The main raw material is diamond grain and powder. Adding white aluminum oxide powder can improve sharpness and polishing efficiency. Generally, WFA particle size is smaller than that of diamond particles as the filling of diamond water grinding discs. White aluminum oxide powder 800 # and 1200 # are commonly used grits.
Diamond is the hardest material in nature. The Mohs hardness of a diamond is 10. Diamond abrasives also have the highest thermal conductivity. However, materials with high hardness have strong grinding and etching capabilities on the workpiece. It may cause scratches on the workpiece. Adding traditional abrasives is a good method. Generally, green silicon carbide powder is added to diamond dry grinding discs.  Accordingly, white aluminum oxide powder is added to diamond water grinding discs.

The addition of white corundum can reduce the cost of the product. More importantly, white aluminum oxide powder can polish the damage caused by diamond grinding. At the same time, the thermal conductivity of white corundum is much lower than that of diamond, but it is also higher than that of grinding workpieces. The shedding of white corundum abrasive particles can remove grinding heat, improve thermal conductivity, and improve grinding efficiency.
