White fused alumina F120 F280 F400 for precise casting
The melting point of fused white fused alumina is 2050-2100 degrees. It has a strong high-temperature stability performance. Used for investment casting shell sand, it has cost and performance advantages. WFA F120 F280 F400 are suitable for precise casting.
Electric fused white alumina for casting always goes with two types white fused alumina granule and powder. The particle size of the white fused alumina granule is bigger than 0.1mm. WFA F80 and F120 are common sizes. While the particle size of white fused alumina powder is smaller than 0.1mm. WFA F280 F400 325F is mostly adopted. The chemical composition Al2O3 content shall not be less than 99.2%, and the total impurity content shall not exceed 0.8%.
White fused alumina has the following advantages in casting:
1. The shell made of fused white alumina has stable thermodynamic and chemical properties. The 20-micron and 40-micron shell-based powders of fused white alumina are produced by the water-washing process, with high purity and flowability. The shell will not have any delamination issues.
2. White fused alumina has high mechanical strength and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. When pouring steel, especially stainless steel, the investment shell will not deform, thus ensuring the high precision of the casting.
3. Electric fused white alumina has high-temperature resistance and fast cooling and curing speed. The casting shell made of it is easy to de-mold, with a high anti-sand adhesion effect and high casting smoothness.
4. Casting with white fused alumina has good looseness, and the surface of the casting can meet the requirements in terms of smoothness and flatness.
WFA is not only used as shell-making surface sand for precision casting but also as a shell-making hanging sand slurry. The price of fused white alumina is much lower than that of zircon sand, and to some extent, it can replace zircon sand and zircon powder.
