White aluminum oxide 5-25 microns for investment casting

White aluminum oxide 5-25 microns (also known as white fused alumina/white corundum 200mesh-0) is an extraordinary refractory powder. It is suitable for investment casting to make shells and molds in the lost foam process.  There are several significant advantages of the powder.

1. Good high-temperature resistance:
White aluminum oxide can withstand high temperatures and will not deform or crack due to excessive casting temperature. This feature makes it suitable for casting high-temperature alloys and other high-temperature castings.
2. Good wear resistance:
During the flow process of the casting liquid, the impact and friction on the surface of the pouring port are relatively large, but white corundum has excellent wear resistance and can resist this impact and friction.
3. Good corrosion resistance:
The casting liquid may contain Corrosive substances such as acid and alkali, but white corundum has good corrosion resistance and can be used for a long time in a corrosive environment.

It should be noted that although white alumina has high hardness, it is also relatively fragile. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid strong impact or vibration during use to avoid cracking or damage. In addition, when making the gate, it is necessary to select factors such as the particle size and shape of white alumina according to the specific situation to ensure the performance and quality of the gate.

As a casting surface layer of sand, white corundum has the following advantages:
1. Good high-temperature resistance: The melting point of white corundum is as high as 2050 ℃, with good high-temperature resistance and suitable for casting high-temperature metals.
2. High hardness: the hardness of white corundum can reach 9.5, which is higher than that of common cast Hardness, and can resist the impact and wear of metal liquids.
3. Good corrosion resistance: White alumina is an inorganic oxide that is not subject to acid or alkali corrosion, making it suitable for use in severely corrosive environments.
4. Good stability: The chemical stability of white alumina is good, it is not easy to react with metal liquids, and will not affect the quality of the casting.
5. Can be recycled multiple times: White alumina has strong wear and corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability. It is a recycled shell-making sand and reduces casting costs.
