Application of white Al oxide powder in thermal spraying

In thermal spraying processing, ceramic powders such as Al oxide and tungsten carbide are usually used as coating materials. The powder is sprayed on the surface of the workpiece through high-temperature melting spraying. The formed coating has the effects of wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance.

The particle size of white Al oxide used in thermal spraying is generally 25-45 microns. This kind of Al oxide is a micro powder of alumina treated by electrofusion. It has excellent wear resistance, fire resistance, and high-temperature resistance. It has corrosion resistance to acid and alkali solutions and high dielectric strength at room temperature. In addition, after washing and pickling, the fused alumina powder has fewer impurities and uniform particle size distribution.

The coating with Al oxide powder thermal spraying has excellent wear resistance, cavitation, particle erosion, friction, heat, and oxidation. It is an ideal choice in the fields of textile, printing, machinery, chemistry, and so on. It is widely used for processing armature, rubber roller, and printing parts.

Before tungsten carbide thermal spraying, fused Al oxide sand can also be used for surface treatment to increase the roughness of the workpiece surface and help the coating adhere to the workpiece.
