White fused aluminum oxide For Anti-slip Epoxy Floor

White Fused aluminum oxide works well as anti-slip aggregate in epoxy floor coating to improve anti-slip ability. It makes the epoxy floor coating tough, durable as well.

As a new type of floor coating, the epoxy floor always works as the factory floor, hospital floor, office, underground garage, supermarket, and other places. The epoxy floor is a floor coating made of epoxy resin as adhesive, adding curing agent, thinner, dispersant, emery wear-resistant powder, and other materials.

The anti-slip powder in its ingredients often goes white fused aluminum oxide granule as the aggregate. It has a greater impact on the quality of the epoxy floor. The advantages of white fused aluminum oxide(know as electrofused corundum/WFA) as an additive material for epoxy floor paint show in the following aspects:

1. WFA is an artificially abrasive with a Mohs hardness of up to 9.0. It is a high-hardness abrasive raw material in most industrial fields.
2. The white fused alumina is smelted at a high temperature of up to 2250 centigrade. The purity of the Al2O3 is over 99%, the refractory temperature can reach 1900 degrees Celsius, the coefficient of thermal expansion is low, and the thermal stability is strong. Thus, it can help improve the heat-resistant physical properties of the epoxy floor.
3. The chemical properties of white fused aluminum oxide are stable. Thus, the physical properties of the resin remain good after being mixed with epoxy resin.
4. The white fused alumina is a translucent white crystal. So, it will not change the color of the epoxy floor coating.
5. Fused aluminum oxide is insoluble in water and has strong hydrolytic stability.
6. All particle sizes of white fused aluminum oxide are available. Sizes range from sand (8 mesh-220 mesh) to micrometer powder (230 mesh-10000 mesh).  Single-particle size or mixed with various particle sizes could be added to the epoxy resin coating.

Generally, used grit sizes include F46,F180,F220, JIS240, JIS280, JIS320,JIS 400, etc.
