Nano-spraying technology is a new type of surface coating technology. It applies ceramic materials such as aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, chromium oxide, zirconium oxide or tungsten carbide metal materials, as well as yttrium-stabilized zirconium oxide composite materials to the solid surface by plasma thermal spraying. A dense nanostructured film with excellent performance is formed on the surface of the substrate. Nano-spraying has the characteristics of high strength, high adhesion, high compressive strength, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, resistance to biological adhesion, and durability. It is very popular in automobiles, shipbuilding, aircraft, metallurgy, medicine, equipment manufacturing and other fields.

Before nano-spraying, it is usually necessary to sandblast the surface to improve the adhesion of its nano-film layer. White aluminum oxide WFA/WA 120#,80# and even finer WFA 500# are suitable for this application. Especially for metal, stainless steel and alloy parts, WFA blasting media can efficiently and quickly remove surface oxides, oil stains and other impurities. At the same time, the sharp particles of white aluminum oxide make tiny concave and convex shapes on the surface of the substrate. That increases the surface roughness of the substrate and is beneficial to the adhesion and holding force of the spray film layer.
