Grinding media white aluminum oxide powder
White aluminum oxide powder is a traditional abrasive medium with high hardness and strong grinding ability. It is suitable for abrasive production, machining, and other fields.
White aluminum oxide powder is a kind of fused corundum powder. Direct grinding with the grinding powder always goes with wet grinding, dry grinding, and semi-dry grinding. These three methods have their own characteristics:
1. Wet grinding. It is to premix white corundum micron with water, dispersant, and other substances, and then continuously fill or coat the grinding mixture on the surface of the workpiece. Through the rotation of the grinding equipment, the abrasive continuously slides and rolls between the workpiece and the grinding equipment to achieve the grinding effect. This grinding method is generally applicable to rough grinding, and the commonly used specification is white fused aluminum oxide coarser than 7 microns.
2. Dry grinding. It is to evenly embed white corundum abrasive particles on the surface of the grinding equipment, and then apply an appropriate amount of stearic acid mixed with ester and other materials for grinding. This grinding method can be used for fine-grade grinding. And It adopts white fused alumina powder with a particle size finer than 7 microns.
3. Semi-dry grinding. This method is similar to the wet grinding method, only changing the grinding fluid into a paste. It is suitable for manual grinding and machine grinding.
Users can select the appropriate grinding method and white corundum particle size according to application requirements to achieve an ideal grinding effect and surface precision.
