What is the usage of WFA 0-1mm？

WFA 0-1mm is a normal fraction size of White fused alumina refractory material.  It is a kind of artifical corundum from electrofusing process. WFA gains superior of high refractoriness, hardness and thermal stability. It mostly work in the refractory & thermal resistance field.

 Refractory industry

1. Refractory bricks and castables
– White fused alumina is added to refractory products such as bricks and castables. The WFA 0-1mm(Mixing with other specifications) can to improve the refractory performance, wear – resistance, and thermal shock resistance of these materials. They are suitable for high – temperature industrial furnaces, such as steel – making furnaces, cement kilns, and glass melting furnaces. In those cases, they can withstand high temperatures and harsh chemical environments.
2. Lining materials
In the lining of industrial kilns and furnaces, WFA fraction – based materials can be used to protect the furnace structure from the erosion of molten metals, slags, and high – temperature gases. Thus, the white corundum helps to form a dense and durable lining that can extend the service life of the furnace.

Foundry industry

Molding sand additives
– Spaying WFA 0 – 1mm  and WFA 325F onto the shell molding in lost wax process can improve the strength of shell. It helps to reduce the surface roughness of the castings, prevent the formation of sand inclusions, and enhance the dimensional accuracy of the final products. This is particularly important in the production of high – precision castings for the automotive, aerospace, and machinery industries.
