99.5% White corundum sand for ceramic sintering process

A thermal insulating layer of 99.5% White corundum sand can avoid the Alumina ceramic component sticking during sintering. The corundum sand here refers to Low soda white fused aluminum oxide particles. The WFA sand is chemical & heat insert. That is very important features for this application.

The benefit of using 99.5% white corundum sand:
1. High purity with Chemical stability and low soda.

High purity alumina has extremely high chemical stability and doesn’t react with other materials.  So ceramic componets are not affected by contacting anti-stick layer during the sintering process.High purity means extremely low impurity content especially NaO2. It reduces the interference of impurities on the ceramic sintering process. Low sodium content means that the layer sand has excellent fire resistance temperature and corrosion resistance.

2. Excellent thermal stability with low thermal expansion rate.

97-98% of the alumina phase is alpha alumina. Thus, it has much higher stability than the alumina of beta and gamma phases. Maintaining structural stability at high temperatures (usually above 1800 ° C), it is not prone to phase transformation or decomposition and is suitable for high-temperature sintering processes.
99.5% white corundum sand of Na2O less than 0.2% has a very low thermal expansion rate at high temperatures. It can ensure stable volume during sintering. Therefore, it can prevent precision errors caused by temperature changes during the sintering process of ceramics.
The particle morphology of high pure white corundum sand itself is polygonal. After high-temperature sintering, its particle morphology becomes round, preventing deviation of ceramic parts caused by slight unevenness of the anti-stick sand layer.

3. Good performance of prevent stick

99.5% White corundum grain can effectively prevent adhesion between ceramic bodies and the inner walls or other bodies of the sintering furnace during the sintering process. That feature ensures the integrity and surface quality of ceramic products.
In the mean time, White fused alumina particle size is uniform. It can be evenly distributed between ceramic bodies, providing uniform support and isolation, ensuring uniform transmission of temperature and pressure during the sintering process. The particle size of white corundum anti-stick sand used for ceramic pad sand is usually F40,F60,F80,F120, etc.

4. Excellent mechanical performance with hardness and wear resistance.

The white corundum grain has high hardness and can withstand mechanical stress during sintering, protecting the ceramic body from damage. Moreover, it has good wear resistance that cn extends the service life of the heat insulating sand layer.

99.5% white corundum anti-stick sand works as an important role in the ceramic sintering process due to its high purity, excellent thermal stability, and good adhesive properties. These advantages makes it an ideal material for ceramic products, especially precision ceramics.
