WHITE ELECTRO CAST ALUMINA for investment casting shell is a product of fused corundum produced by melting high-purity alumina powder at a high temperature in an electric arc furnace (melting temperature is up to 2050 degrees). Then after solidifying, agglomerating, and cooling, it forms to high purity fused corundum blocks. Due to the high-temperature melting production process, alumina is mainly transformed into the crystal form of α-Al2O3. Fused corundum has good toughness, high thermal resistance, and high chemical stability.
In addition, the fused corundum produced by our company has low sodium content and good thermal performance. It can be used to produce corundum casting paint, and foundry coating, and can also be directly used as shell-molding substrate material and shell-molding spay sand for precision casting.

A: The White fused alumina 325#-0 powder is get from the milling and mesh sieving process. It’s more suitable for filler of refractory products. However, the White fused alumina 320 mesh is get from a water suspension treating process. It’s more suitable for polishing and lapping.
Q: Are the White fused alumina grains you get is produced from a Tilting furnace or a Fixing furnace?
A: Our white fused alumina grains F8-F220 are produced from fixing furnaces. Fixing furnace white fused alumina is of higher toughness and more durable.
Q: What is the content of Na2O of your white fused alumina grains?
A: We have normal Sodium WFA grain and low Sodium WFA grain. Normal WFA grain Na2O content is max. 3%. It is even lower than most competitors. Low sodium WFA grain Na2O content is max.0.1%.
Q: Do you have a MOQ of WFA powder?
A: Basically, there is no limit to MOQ. Even 25kgs(1 bag)is ok for us. But the logistic cost will be higher than normal.
