Price of White fused alumina raises again
Starting from the end of September 2024, the price of Bayer process alumina powder has skyrocketed. That lead to the price rise of white fused alumina directly. Several listed companies producing alumina related products hit the daily limit up. There are many reasons for the price increase this time such as:
- Increased costs of bauxite at home and abroad, and increased energy costs.
- The reduction in production of white corundum in the early stage led to a decrease in inventory.
- Earlier environmental control during the winter heating season.
When the price of white corundum increased in May and June this year, many industry insiders felt that it was normal for the price of white fused alumina to rise and fall, and that it would eventually return. However, the surge in October caught users and white corundum manufacturers off guard, and the era of low price of white corundum may be gone forever.
